Dual-focus contact lens prototypes ordered by Pentagon
The lenses are designed to be paired with compact head-up display (HUD) units - glasses that allow images to be projected onto their lenses.

Those awful bird noises, which I secretly like. The not too distant sounds of morning commuters, a train, and the beeping of garbage trucks, which I could do without. The asphalt is wet; a welcome surprise after the driest March. The sun rises behind a clouded sky. The trees are in bloom and neighbors are off to work. Spring has come.
Timothy Allen shows Buzludha then and now and shares the story of his trip to photograph the monument.
Buzludha is Bulgaria’s largest ideological monument to Communism. Designed by architect Guéorguy Stoilov, more than 6000 workers were involved in its 7 year construction including 20 leading Bulgarian artists who worked for 18 months on the interior decoration. A small, compulsory donation from every citizen in the country formed a large portion of the funds required to build this impressive structure that was finally unveiled in 1981 on what was the 1300th anniversary of the foundation of the Bulgarian state.

Big Bad Wolf boiled alive
“Big Bad Wolf boiled alive,” the Guardian reports. But is there more to the story?
This advert for the Guardian’s open journalism, screened for the first time on 29 February 2012, imagines how we might cover the story of the three little pigs in print and online. Follow the story from the paper’s front page headline, through a social media discussion and finally to an unexpected conclusion - TheGuardian
Despite it being an advertisement, I think it’s an interesting, modern retelling of the fairy tale. The paper’s editor-in-chief has also posted an article on what open journalism looks like.

![Some of my favorite Blur songs tend to be those sung by Graham. I never really listened to his solo work before however, but am glad I finally did…
